Hi there!
In this article, we are going to introduce you to the process you should follow when you successfully receive a “Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA)” as a result of EOI Draw by email.
When will you receive LAA?
The applicant who is awarded the right to apply for MPNP as a result of EOI Draw conducted every other Thursday will receive a LAA by email, usually on the following Friday (Tomorrow).
The title of the email we actually received was here.
The program we applied for was titled “Skilled Workers in Manitoba” so it was titled as above.
If you apply for other programs, I’m not sure if it will be the same or different from the above title, however we expect that the phrase “Letter of Advice to Apply” will be included your email.
Two Options
LAA received states that one of the two options listed below should be within 60 days.
- Submit a full application to MPNP-SW and pay $500.00 CAD
 - Decline the invitation

Most applicants would select to apply because we would have been waiting for this invitation. On the contrary, you can decline it, too.
If you don’t respond within 60 days, it will be inevitably the same as declining.
Who should consider declining?
Who will decline?
You should consider declining if the Circumstances of the “Applicant” or “Spouse” or “Both Applicant and Spouse” change between before and after the EOI Draw application.
Specifically, it is recommended that you do the following:
| Your (or/and Your Spouse’s) Situation(s) | Ranking Points |
| Same situation before and after | Same |
| Different situation before and after
by being a year older |
Down
(even though your points are lower than Minimum points) |
In the above situation, your application will be formally reviewed. However, it is not a guarantee that all applicants will pass the application.
| Your (or/and Your Spouse’s) Situation(s) | Ranking Points |
| Different situation before and after | Down |
If you apply in this situation, your application will not be eligible for MPNP and will most likely be rejected. There is no refund of the application fee for rejected applications. Your $500 application fee will be wasted.
It is better to decline and re-apply to EOI Draw.
| Your (or/and Your Spouse’s) Situation(s) | Ranking Points |
| Different situation before and after | Up |
Once you receive LAA, you can contact MPNP by email after you have logged-in from the official page to inquire about your application.
If you are unsure about your application, even if it is for other reasons, it is a good idea to contact MPNP before your $500 application fee is wasted due to rejection.
Please note that this email address will only be available to those who can apply for MPNP, so we are sorry, but it cannot be listed on this site.
The process if you select to apply
If you select to apply, you will be presented with an initial screen very similar to the one you used when you first applied for LAA.
There are several questions with the same content as when you applied for LAA, and you should select the same answers as you did when you applied for LAA.

Application Progress
MPNP application consists of the following 9 items:
- Personal Information
 - Education
 - Employment
 - Application History
 - Relatives & Friends
 - Language Ability
 - Adaptability
 - Forms & Documents
 - Review & Submit

You can enter information and upload related files by clicking on the “Go” button for each item.
You can also click “Save” on each entry screen to keep the information and the uploaded files for 60 days before saving them.

Comments
i have initially accepted the LAA and had filled the necessary forms in there portal when i realized that my situation has changed making it impossible to continue. ho do i decline?
Thank you for contacting us.
If your MPNP points have changed and still above the accepted points, you might email MPNP to inquire.
Or you can decline without proceeding with the process.
I just realized I chose a wrong NOC as against descriptionof my job schedule, pls is it advisable I go on to submit the application or how do I go about declining?
Thank you for contacting us.
In this case as well, as with the previous questioner, there are two options.
If your MPNP points have changed and still above the accepted points, you might email MPNP to inquire.
Or you can decline without proceeding with the process.
In other words, it may be less troublesome to recreate an account with a different email address before paying $500.
